St. Petersburg, Florida
Born in recovery. Built in St. Pete. Powered by the belief that everyone deserves a fresh start — on their skin and in their life.
Where It Started
INK 4 RECOVERY started with a simple, hard truth: the tattoos people get during addiction, incarceration, or gang involvement don't disappear when they get clean. They stay — on job applications, in housing interviews, in the mirror every morning.
We were founded by people who lived that reality. People who knew that a cover-up tattoo isn't vanity — it's survival. It's the difference between getting the job and not. Between feeling free and feeling marked.
So we built something. A nonprofit. A partnership with Dragonz Eye Tattoo in St. Pete. A community of artists, donors, and people in recovery who believe that everyone deserves a second chapter — and that sometimes, it starts with new ink.
What We Stand For
We know where you've been. We've been there too. There's no shame in this room — only forward motion.
Reclaiming your body is a powerful act. Choosing what goes on your skin — that's yours. We help you make that choice.
Every session is a partnership — between the person in recovery, the artist, and the community that made it possible.
How We Got Here
2021
Founded in St. Petersburg, FL by people in recovery who understood firsthand how visible tattoos from the past could hold someone back from a new life.
2022
Partnered with Dragonz Eye Tattoo to run our first cover-up sessions. Word spread fast. The need was bigger than we imagined.
2023
Registered as a 501(c)(3) to open up donations, grants, and formal partnerships with treatment centers across Pinellas County.
2024
Added recovery milestone tattoos — 30 days, 1 year, a decade clean. Because recovery deserves to be celebrated, not just survived.
Today
Dozens of sessions completed. More artists joining. More lives changed. We're just getting started.
Our Partner
None of this happens without Dragonz Eye. Their artists show up, session after session, donating their time and talent to people who need it most. They're not just a partner shop — they're the heart of this operation.
